AngelSeed was a project born from the ashes of the cult, trash metal band Drinking Skull (Croatia, Zagreb) combining the basics of trash metal and musical influences of different sub-styles, mostly symphonic and power rock. Project formed by Damir Marijan Maras, Jurica Baljak and Siniša Antunovic Medo, took more serious form when Ivana Anic Lara (singer) decided to join the project 2007.
It was very obvious from the start, the songs that were created will require more complex music arrangements, so the first lineup of the band asked for reinforcements... Musicians and friends that helped us form the songs as we know them today were Tomislav Oliver (keyboards) and Luka Putica (bass). Sadly the lineup did not last for a long time, as they had to leave due to their own projects and commitments. With the arrival of the last two members; Jurica Bazant (keyboards) & Juraj Birin (guitar) project becomes a band, now consisting of six very talented musicians; from academically educated musicians, to musicians with many years of experience performing and recording: Damir Marijan Maras (rhythm-guitar), Siniša Antunović-Medo (bass), Jurica Baljak (drums), Juraj Birin (solo guitar), Jurica Bažant (keyboards) and Ivana Anic-Lara (vocals). Decision was made and the name for the band was chosen – AngelSeed.

Not really being a slave to any metal sub-genre in particular, AngelSeed is proud to make the songs a mixture of different sub-genres of heavy metal music, from power, goth, trash, symphonic rock, with a touch of different folk and classical instruments as well, which are used to complement the heavy metal base in each song.
Even though the lyrics form a separate story for each of the songs, at the same time they become a whole, if you approach them as parts of the story, AngelSeed is trying to portray through their music. They are reflections of our minds, wishes, desires, all the things we see around us... our sadness, loves, weakness, death and life. All combined with elements of fantasy, including different fictional characters, different worlds and dimensions, and yet being able to give to their fans some free space, so to speak, to extract their own conclusions and create their own ideas.

AngelSeed first introduction to general public as support for one of the biggest female fronted bands, Within Temptation, in 2008, gives them wings to fly, as the great acceptance from the crowd and positive feedback, influences them to form a decision, a decision so big that will change them and their music in the years to come. The band sets off to Sweden, to record and produce their first album guided by the Swedish producer Rickard Bengtsson, who will make their ideas become reality.

Recordings in Sweden in The Sweetspot Studio were going literally around the clock, 24hours a day, month and a half stretched between 2 studios, not to mention studio in Samobor upon the bands return, and were extremely hard. Countless hours of work were invested in this album from the members of the band, guest musicians and their producer and in Sweden.
As the complexity of the songs became the stalling factor for the production, the band decided to speed things up by collaborating with another famous producer, on their final mix & master. Final product is to be expected soon, as well as its publication.
