ZARIA

The band was started in 2011 by Inez and Miha, who in their desire to create original music, sought out the remaining members. Together they formed an epic-folk metal band called Zaria. First original songs came into existence that very year, their number steadily growing throughout the following years. 2012 saw the beginning of their concerts. The first one happened at Kresovanje in Kisovec and was enabled by their victory at the band competition in Ofsajd Bar in Kisovec. In September they were one of the bands chosen to perform at the Metal Kramp festival in Zagorje. After that, they took to the DYZ Sonic Temple Studio where they recorded their first four songs: Prebujenje (Awakening), Boj (Fight), Njun svet (Their World), and Modro obzorje (Blue Horizon) and released them on an EP entitled Sij obzorja (Glow of the Horizon). Later that year they performed in Jevnica (Jevn'ca out loud) and in 2013 in Kranj (Concert of unknown bands at Trainstation Squat), in Medvode (Battle of the Bands at youth cultural centre Jedro), and in Maribor (Metal Monstrosity at Hala Gustaf)
In the future they wish to return to the studio and record a CD with the material that is either already written or being worked on. They also wish to perform as much as possible and present themselves to the public thoroughly.
